MU Extension Business & Community specialists across the state provide research-based training, resources, and technical assistance to help Missouri’s businesses, workers, and communities thrive.
The Business and Community Program area aims to help businesses and communities understand the socioeconomic forces affecting them, facilitate economic growth, and guide efforts to increase community and workforce prosperity.
The Business & Community Program area is made up of four main service areas:
Business Development
(Missouri Small Business Development Centers, Missouri APEX Accelerator, and Mid-America Trade and Adjustment Centers).
Community Development
(Belonging, Contribution, Leadership, Vitality)
Labor and Workforce Development
(Labor and workforce education, workforce data, research, and training).
Regional Economic Development
(community economic development data, research, training, community planning, and technical assistance).
